I have a toshiba satellite A60-JL2 notebook, and im missing the driver for the SM BUS CONTROLLER I tried the toshiba website, and the intel Auto chipset detect and install program, but no avail. My comp is so sluggish without this driver.

Hi folks, I had the same problem and this is what I did to get it sorted.
I used a program called CPUZ (it identify's hardware in a PC like Memory, Processor and main board) and I got the Chipset name and model number from that. Turned out it was an Intel GL960 Chipset which I found on the Intel Website.
Here's the link to the ZIP format of the Chipset Installer :

You have to use the ZIP version as the automated installer doesn't install the SM bus Controller. Once you down load it and Unzip it, go into device manager and choose update driver on the SM Bus Controller and then direct it to the ALL folder in the folder you just unzipped. Job done.

A few months back I made a post about having trouble finding some drivers..and well, I'm at it again! I decided to upgrade my laptop (specs and history here: http://www.tomshardware.com/forum/67999-63-please-help-driver-illiterate) to 64 bit windows 7.
Unfortunately, Toshiba changed their driver page and I can't find the correct AMD display driver (this is same as SM Bus?) for my computer. I've tried a few and none of them have worked so I thought I'd ask for help.
Here's the website: http://support.toshiba.com/drivers, and my model # is: Toshiba Satellite L755D-S5204, 64 bit windows 7 is the OS and I have an AMD A6 processor with on-board HD graphics card.
